Streats of London.

A personal project I started in 2005 where I set out to catalogue all the streets in London that featured items of food or drink in their names. What started as an idle creative whim, became a somewhat obsessive challenge over the next few years and one that still continues today, owing to London’s ever-changing streetscape.

Having cycled over 1,700 miles of cycling around London to photograph street signs in person, the website I created currently has over 150 photos featuring every item of food or drink which appears on street signs in all 33 London boroughs and also lists the other 300+ streets throughout London which have similar names, as well as offering historic information about them where I’ve managed to find it.
