Tesco.

From February 2014 to February 2017 I was the freelance Creative Director at Newt Idea, working on app design, UX, strategy, art direction and information design on multiple projects for Tesco.

The Clubcard Customer Experience Atlas was designed to curate all the different ways in which Clubcard intersected with Tesco products and services, and was given to members of the senior exec team. I designed the complete 212-page hardback book, developing all icons and infographics as well as the overarching design theme of a Periodic Table-style cataloguing system, covering 50 touchpoints over six chapters.

Another project involved my creating five large data-visualisation maps which each showed different phases of Tesco Clubcard usage. With data from four countries, one map was created for each country with a fifth map combining all the data. I also created corresponding decks, detailing the research findings and explaining how to read the maps.

In one rapid eight-week burst, I helped envision and design a new delivery driver app experience, designed to help Tesco drivers across the world keep track of customer orders and deliveries from the warehouse to the customer’s door. From initial sketches through to a high-fidelity proof of concept, we delivered an innovative and robust solution which led to the prototype being tested in multiple countries.
